Brewed with mango and the named chile pepper, this hazy IPA combines tropical-fruit notes and aromas with pepper heat. Vanilla bean rounds the heat in the exact product description, which presents the result as balanced. Technical details list five-point-five per cent alcohol and 30 bitterness units. About R&B Brewing Co.
Rick Dellow and Barry Benson founded R&B Brewing in East Vancouver’s Brewery Creek district in 1997. Their initials gave the brewery its name. Early brewing included ales, lagers and cask-conditioned beer.
Howe Sound Brewing bought R&B in 2015, and the Ale & Pizza House followed. Today the East 4th Avenue site brings together the working brewery, pizza and music.
