Crushed violet, bergamot and wild herbs lift a brooding core of black plum, blackberry and boysenberry. Powerful and rich, the palate combines ripe perfumed fruit with peppery spice, cigar box and tightly packed tannins. Dark chocolate and molasses deepen the long, structured finish. Decant carefully and serve with blue cheese or dark chocolate.

Smith Woodhouse has been a specialist producer of premium-quality Ports since 1784 when Christopher Smith, Lord Mayor of London, created a small company to ship Port from the Douro valley. Smith was joined a few years later by the Woodhouse brothers. Through the last 200 years, this small Port Company has been built a reputation for outstanding Vintage Ports.
