Crown Royal Red Waterloo XR

The first edition of Crown Royal XR, Extra Rate, the XR being a nod to Cognac naming conventions, contained the final batch of aged whiskies from the legendary Waterloo distillery and is a very rare find. It is no longer in production since a tragic fire destroyed much of the facility in 1993. This whisky is from some of the very few casks salvaged from the fire and is therefore truly one of a kind.
Fragrant rye flowers fade into hints of rye spices and fresh-cut wood on the nose. On the palate it has beautiful length showcasing pepper, warm cedar, bitter orange zest, and sweet hints of toffee.
