Deeply sherried yet controlled, with dried fruit, dark chocolate and freshly ground coffee layered over toasted oak. The palate is full and warming, bringing raisin, fig and cocoa into focus as cracked black pepper and firm wood spice add definition. Mature richness is balanced by a dry, savoury line rather than overt sweetness. The finish is long and structured, lingering on espresso, dark fruit, pepper and polished oak.

About Glenfarclas
John Grant bought Glenfarclas Distillery and Recherlich Farm in 1865, beginning a family stewardship that remains independent generations later. A nineteenth-century partnership with the Pattison firm ended in financial strain for the business. Decades later, George Stanley Grant chose to build stocks for Glenfarclas's own bottlings, laying the groundwork for The Family Casks collection.
The distillery uses spring water from Ben Rinnes and distils its malt twice in direct-fired stills. Its cask selection includes European oak seasoned with Oloroso sherry, sourced from a family-run Spanish bodega.
