Clear in the glass, it becomes opalescent when mixed because of its high concentration of orange essence. Sweet and bitter orange peels give a profile that is zesty, fresh and floral, with an intensely orange palate and a lingering impression. Its aromatic range spans citrus, sweetness and floral detail while remaining focused on the flavour of orange peel.

About Cointreau
Maison Cointreau began in Angers in 1849, when confectioner Adolphe Cointreau expanded the family business into liqueurs. Édouard Cointreau developed the house's clear orange liqueur from sweet and bitter peels. The square bottle was registered in 1885.
Production moved to the Saint-Barthélemy d'Anjou distillery in 1972. Carole Quinton was appointed Master Distiller in 2016, with responsibility for selecting and balancing the sweet and bitter peels.
