About Domaine Calot
Domaine Calot has been a family estate in Villié-Morgon since the 1930s, with the work now carried forward by Vincent Calot and the next generation. Its old Gamay vines grow on granite soils, with some plantings around a century old.
The grapes are harvested by hand and undergo a cool maceration before fermentation with native yeasts. A traditional basket press is used, and the wines age in large wooden vats and seasoned Burgundy barrels before bottling without fining or filtration.
