Bright ruby red in the glass with classic aromas of ripe wild raspberries plus a hint of blackcurrant with mineral complexity on the palate. Fruity with gentle tannins, it’s best enjoyed with a slight chill as an aperitif. This Beaujolais can be enjoyed young or kept for a few years maximum.

Reverdito Barolo Ascheri 2016
$129.99
Vineyard: La Morra
Production: 4,000 bottles
Soil: Marl
Barolo produced here is best described as “warm-hearted”. Michele’s Barolo Ascheri comes from the classic chalky soils of La Morra about 250 meters up the steep hillside, inter-planted with several types of grasses and beans to aid biodiversity and soil structure. The resulting wine has an enticing nose of flowers, ripe strawberries and dark cherries, and a good mouthful of plummy ripe elegant fruit. This deceptively mid-weight Barolo has a ton to offer.
