Blackcurrant, blackberry and dark plum lead a concentrated nose, joined by boysenberry, anise, toasted oak and a light graphite note. The palate is full-bodied and opulent yet fresh, with polished, fine-grained tannins carrying the dark fruit through cocoa, vanilla and subtle earthy tones. A savoury tobacco edge adds complexity before a long, composed finish. Decant before serving with roast beef, lamb shoulder or grilled portobello mushrooms.
