Dense and layered, with blackberry and other dark berries framed by mild spice, liquorice and discreet toasted notes. The palate is sappy and well structured, combining crisp fruit with ripe, firm tannins, a silky core and convincing length. Balanced but still youthful, it benefits from about two hours in a decanter before serving with beef or lamb.
