Formerly from St Emilion, the Lavau Family has been involved in winemaking for several generations. They have been making wine in the Rhône Valley for 40 years. Today the cellar is managed by brothers Benoit and Frederic Lavau. The goal from the beginning has been simple: produce classic, engaging yet affordable wines that are approachable whilst retaining that traditional refined aesthetic associated with French Wine.

Lavau Envyfols Pays D’oc Chardonnay 2018
Captivating nose melds fresh herbs and cut grass with fresh peach and hints of honey and spice. Supple, rich and fresh – showing the strength of the vintage – offering a lovely touch of sweetness and just enough acidity to its flavours of peach, lemon, flowers and stone.

93 pts – “Peach, apricot and minerals on the deep, complex nose. Then rich, dense and tactile, with flavors similar to the aromas on the long, ripe, stony finish. Another smashingly good Coda di Volpe wine by La Rivolta, an estate that has a real knack for this variety and a long history of making outstanding wines with it.”

Low yields, hand harvesting and farmed according to organic principles. 9 months in vats on fine lees.
Aromas of pears, lemons, peaches and honey with floral and mineral hints. Great tension on the palate, which is pure with persistence and incredible precision. An easy wine to drink with well-balanced acidity and great structure.
