An aromatic powerhouse in 2016 with dark cherry, plum, lavender, spice and licorice all melding beautifully together. This is super-impressive in the early going. Truly a Barolo of class and character, the Bricco Cogni has so much to offer.

Syrah 40 %, Grenache 30 %, Carignan 30%
Lovely deep red colour, dark even. Black fruit nose, almost all black fruits: cherry, blackberry, blackcurrant, cooked blueberry and damsons. Toasted spelt loaf aromas, Havana cigar and cocoa beans (crushed naturally). Full-bodied mouth-feel, firm and already nicely integrated despite the powerful tannins. Serve with risotto with porcini mushrooms.
