Chateau Le Roc, a fantastic Bordeaux producer from the heart of the Entre-deux-Mers, the relatively flat lowland part of Bordeaux between the Gironde and Dordogne rivers. The region is known for producing wines of terrific value. The terroir is made of clay and limestone, with vines planted around 35 years ago. Monsieur Cedric Landie, the owner and winemaker of the Chateau, leads the way in producing commendable, excellent-value bordeaux.
Le Roc Bordeaux Blanc
Given the price, an impressive Bordeaux Blanc made from carefully selected grapes from the clay and limestone soils of entre-deux-mers. Grape fruit, citrus and lemon aromas lead to a palate that’s fresh and inviting. The balance of the texture and freshness makes for a compelling white wine to drink now and over the next couple of years. All and all, a terrific value from the terrific 2018 vintage!

93 pts – “Peach, apricot and minerals on the deep, complex nose. Then rich, dense and tactile, with flavors similar to the aromas on the long, ripe, stony finish. Another smashingly good Coda di Volpe wine by La Rivolta, an estate that has a real knack for this variety and a long history of making outstanding wines with it.”
