More than a decade ago, David and Betsy Lawer fell in love with and purchased one of the most unique vineyards in Calistoga, California.
Betsy Lawer is a third generation Alaskan banker who has proven that helping people succeed in the community is not only the right thing to do, but is the right approach to business. Betsy and David apply those core values to their winery.
Lawer Estates vineyards are sustainably farmed, thoughtfully managed and meticulously maintained, and the grapes are always hand picked at harvest. The Lawers hope to continue these traditions for generations to come.

Lawer Hooker Rugby Club White Blend 2017
85% Chardonnay, 15% Viognier
This white blend entices with brilliant shades of yellow and flashes of green. Pretty aromas of fig, cashew, sweet peach and elegant French oak lead to a citrus-fig combination on the palate.
A harmonious finish of creamy texture and mouth feel with balanced acidity lures you back for another sip.

Appearance is delightfully fresh, showing pale straw-green hues. The nose has initial savoury, herbal aromatics leading to subtle stone fruit and delicate citrus blossom notes. There is a distinct white peach character, as well as a fine, very pleasing oak presence. It shows sensational freshness, and creates a long lasting finish that literally meanders for minutes after each delicious sip.

93 pts – “Peach, apricot and minerals on the deep, complex nose. Then rich, dense and tactile, with flavors similar to the aromas on the long, ripe, stony finish. Another smashingly good Coda di Volpe wine by La Rivolta, an estate that has a real knack for this variety and a long history of making outstanding wines with it.”
