We know our community counts. That's why we actually do
more than just taste wine at our wine events. Liberty has
been making major contributions to the Great Vancouver community
every year for the last fourteen years.
LIBERTY'S TWO CHARITABLE PRIORITIES
All four annual 'Tastings-in-the-Park' held at the Vancouver
Rowing Club are benefits for amateur sports in BC, totaling
over $68,212.57 in donations as of October '07
Our annual 'BC Wine & Oyster Festival' has raised over
$157,515.77 for the Oak
Tree Clinic at BC Children's Hospital since Jan ‘07.
IF YOU HAVE YOUR OWN CHARITABLE REQUEST
Liberty receives many, many requests to donate to charitable
causes. While we do appreciate being top-of-mind, we can not
accommodate all requests received. Here are our guidelines
for saying yes or no:
- What we donate are tickets to our 'Tastings-in-the-Park'
events for use in silent auctions or door prizes -- we cannot
legally donate wine
- We cannot support schools or below legal-drinking-age
fundraisers
- Feel free to approach the Manager at your neighbourhood
Liberty to ask if they would recommend your request to our
head office
- Fax your request to 604.739.7800 or email us buy@libertywinemerchants.com
(with as much detail as possible, please)
- You may follow-up with a phone call or email, although
usually if we decide to donate, you'll hear back from us
within a week

Please note that we do get many applications for full-
and part-time work in our stores. Yes, we are always looking
for people with wine passion, demonstrable wine knowledge
and outstanding customer service skills!
LIBERTY'S HIRING PRACTICE
We are not currently posting positions on this website. We
strongly recommend that if you have an interest in working
in retail wine that you speak directly to a Liberty manager
at one of our four locations. Resumes can also be received
via email at our head office, although we will only respond
to applications which qualify and only if we have an available
position. |
