About the Instructor:

  • Tyler Dawson aka "Ty The Wine Guy" It is only natural to have Tyler as our lead instructor at the Liberty Wine School. Tyler has an infectious enthusiasm for communicating all things wine and he does so with a deep understanding of the subject. Tyler is also the author of "What's up d'Oc", quick reference/ guide to the Languedoc and Roussillon and "Saké Simple", quick reference/ guide to Saké.

    When it comes to merchandising, purchasing, store operations, marketing, client interaction and serious product knowledge, Tyler is a WINE PRO. Tyler has fifteen years (and counting) at Liberty Wine Merchants Ltd., Park Royal
    Store Manager; six years Special Events and Catering, Industrial Bar Management and fine dining cellar-man; and Founder of the Victoria Wine Academy in 1996.
